Swing Lil' Bear

*Basic knowledge of PSP7/AS
is needed for this tutorial.*

Supplies needed:
*PSP 7
*Font Dusty Rose >Here<
(or, one of your choice.)
*Zip File*
Includes:
*Welcome Bear Tube.
Special thanks to Christina.
(*Her site is now closed.)
~~~~~~
*Download the tube zip; open in PSP. *If adding directly to your tubes folder, resize the tube 80% & sharpen before exporting to the folder.
Open a new transparent image in PSP, size 400 x 400, and name it Text or Name.
Chose the font you want to use (a thick one is best.) Add your name.
Stroke & Fill colors:
#555E7C and #8C91A6
(I cropped a little piece from the tube for the center of my name.)
*To do this, open the tube zip in PSP, hit the Shift key and the letter D (to copy), close out the original. Using the selections tool, select a little of the blue & white pattern from the bear.
While selected, go to Selections>Convert to Seamless Pattern.
Now add your text, using the colors above; then go to Selections>Modify>Contract>3 (depending on the font you are using, play around with the Contract setting.) Next, flood fill with the pattern.  Deselect.
Now, duplicate your name layer 2 times, (for a total of 3 *name* layers).  X out 2 of those, and add a new layer and name it bear. (*I scaled the tube to 80.)
On your layers palette, drag the bear layer to the bottom.
Using the Zoom Tool,
enlarge the bear and using the lasso tool, "point to point" do the following:
Next, click the delete key, and remove the part of the tube that we have the marching ants around.
Deselect.
Now, using the mover tool, move the bear tube under your text layer, so that the top part of the string is hidden.
Optional:
Using the lasso tool, go around the heart and while selected; go to Edit>Copy>Edit>Paste as a new layer. Go to Image>Resize 40%. Effects>Sharpen>Sharpen.
Move the heart layer up to the top, and X it out.
~~~~~~

Click on the bear tube, and duplicate the bear 2 times for a total of 3 bear layers.

 Unhide the original bear layer
and the name layer.
Go to Layers>Merge>Merge Visible.

X the merged layer out.
